Members of the Association for Development and Education of Youth “Safe Step” every year attend numerous seminars, trainings and other trainings.

Violeta Mrkaljević, a member of the “Safe Step” association, attended the “Community Resistance to Violent Extremism” training at the Minero Hotel in Tuzla on December 16-18. The organizer of the training is “Hope and homes for children in BiH” from Sarajevo.

The main goals of the training were:

understand concepts related to the prevention of violent extremism;
understand the factors influencing the emergence of radicalism and violent extremism;
understand the emergence of violent radicalism and violent extremism in the context of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
identify factors of resistance to the emergence of radicalism and violent extremism in the local community;
identify possible fields of action to prevent violent extremism.
